Bass is a versatile and reliable defender with a keen eye for goal. He is surely one of the fittest defenders in the league, and is rarely defeated by pace.
Bass is arguably the most successful Ravens player in history, with a goal scoring record to envy.
He is currently having an exceptional season, although the club is not having such luck.
Bass has received many accolades for his constant bombardment of opposition goals with his lofted free kicks.
A fine example, and contender for goal of the season, is his only goal this season. A lofted free kick from 35 yards out. The ball had such pace on it that it confused the Normanhurst number 1, and dropped in the goals over his head as the crowd roared with joy.
Bass is currently contender for top goal scorer, just behind Simon Comonsoli and David Jeong. Both on two goals.
'I'm looking to get my goal scoring run going again this weekend' said Bass.
'I'm sure my presence on the field will get the boys to glory. It's simple. Me just being there lifts the whole team's morale.'

This weeks results are in. Ravens FC clash with Normanhurst Eagles is a vital game for both clubs in staying in top flight.
The relegation battle is heating up.
Normanhurst are currently setting just behind on 4 points.
Both squads hope to have 11 players on the field in order to keep the top flight dreams alive.

Normanhurst have had a bad season in front of goals with only 3 hitting the back of the net, while Ravens are looking healthy with 11.

Its been a tough season for both teams and their coaching staff with season ending injuries for some. This is one of the key elements why Ravens FC are close to the drop to 2nd tier football.

As the battle for the Premiership heats up, another battle is simmering at the foot of the table.
We preview the upcoming match between Gladesville Ravens and Normanhurst Eagles.

Gladesville Ravens will be looking to secure their spot in the top tier of the Gladesville-Hornsby Football Association Under 16's competition this Saturday as they travel north to Normanhurst Oval, home of the Eagles.

The Eagles are currently sitting at the bottom of the table with four points and will be looking for their second win of the season, after recently upsetting highly ranked Glenhaven FC. The Ravens will also be looking to notch up their second win of the season, previously beating Normanhurst in their previous encounter 2-1.

Both teams have had run-ins with injury and are lacking depth in their squads.
Gladesville will be once again looking to utilise their youth players for this fixture.

Tough Season for the Lads

It has been a tough season for RAVENS FC this year in top flight, they comfortably sit in 7th position just about the drop to 2nd tier football. They have had some solid draws and results but continue to play short.

This is a problem the Club will solve with the signing of new players. They may loan out players if the team fail to stay in top flight football. PSE will be with the lads every step of the way, regardless if they don't cut it for top flight.

Ravens crushed by late goal

West Pennant Hills clinched a win over struggling Gladesville Ravens with a late goal in an exciting fixture at Peel Park earlier today.

The game, for the most part, had been very much in the balance and neither side looked as though they would score the decisive goal.
But a goal in the 65th minute to Ivan Johnson broke the deadlock and won the game for the Lions.

Struggling with numbers all season, Gladesville looked to their up-and-coming stars, bringing in John-Paulo and Michael. The former playing a key role in the strong performance.

From the inception, West Pennant Hills looked sharp, with many early shots, keeping goal keeper Scott Stratten busy.
The Lions became frustrated with Ravens' defensive tactic but broke through in the 21st minute, after a scuffle in the box caused by defensive lapse.
Stratten was in no-man's-land after the scuffle and an easy finish was inevitable with John Smith on hand to slot the ball past the near post.

Gladesville's defesive tactic was very simple as
"I just told the boys to go out there and hold them out. I honestly thought we had no chance today, but the boys proved me wrong once again. I'm very happy with the defensive performance and, after all, we are missing our captain Joel Lister-Barker. Hopefully this performance lifts the spirits and we can repeat this effort next week against Normanhurst."

Minutes before the break, West Pennant Hills were dispossessed on the half-way mark by Matthew Chalkley.
Chalkley provided a precise ball to Love who took it in his stride, beating two players before placing the ball over the goal keeper's head with a lethal left foot strike.

Ravens approached the second half much the same as they did the first. It was clear they wanted to hold out for a solid draw, and this was illustrated by the simple approach of kicking the ball up field or out when it reached any of the defenders.

It appeared that the match would end in a draw and the respective sides would share the points, but this was not to be.
With five minutes to go, the Lions scored a controversial goal to take the upper hand in the match.
Steven Smith took a shot from the edge of the box which deflected off one of the many bodies in the box.
After several miskicks, the ball dropped for Ivan Johnson, who slotted home to give the Lions the lead for the second time in the match.

The goal caused an uproar within the Ravens squad, with many players believing Johnson was offside.

After pressing for the equaliser, Gladesville had to settle with a narrow 2-1 loss.

"I told the boys at half-time, win, lose or draw, I'd be happy with the performance and I stand by that statement. They showed great courage and were unlucky to lose it in the end."

Gladesville will be looking to notch up their second win of the season next week with an away trip to Normanhurst.
This will be a very interesting match, with both sides at the foot of the table and fighting to stay in the top flight next year.

Kick off is 11.45 at Normanhurst Oval.

Welcome to the Gladesville Ravens FC and PSE Site.

Gladesville Ravens Sports club has operated since 1960 and has grown into a large, successful and long running community sports clubs. Over those years the club has been active in men’s soccer, netball and women’s soccer.

We have also been a very active social club as well as fielding teams in various other more social sports such as touch football, indoor soccer, 6-Aside soccer and volleyball.

The clubs home ground is at the one and only Peel Park. This ground is one of the most flattest pitches in the league. Peel Park is the heartland of Gladesville Football. It is home to one of the Oldest Clubs in the GHFA, Gladesville Ravens

PSE (Potts St Elite) was formed in 2008 by Taylor Carrad. He is currently playing in the U16/1 Football Team. He strives in making PSE a top supporter group. He is also part of the firm Anty Jets which formed back in 2007.

PSE form every week on the Corner of Peel Park. There are also other members including James, Nikhil and Alex.
